Yes, I considered a career in construction in high school.

 

WHO INFLUENCED YOU? (TEACHERS, GUIDANCE COUNSELORS, FAMILY, FRIENDS, ETC.)

 

I first heard about it when I was taking a building trades class.

 

WHY DID YOU ULTIMATELY CHOOSE A CAREER IN CONSTRUCTION?

 

I chose a career in construction because it pays well and unlike college, it is free.

 

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL YOUNG PEOPLE CONSIDERING POST-SECONDARY CAREER OPTIONS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL?  WHAT WOULD YOU TELL THEM TO CONVINCE THEM TO CONSIDER AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM?

 

An apprenticeship program is a great opportunity.  It is basically free. And, you get paid while learning.  After you are done, you will have earned a degree.

 

WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR CAREER PATH IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY?

 

It is a great, challenging career to get into.  It has a great pension plan for life after work.
