DID YOU PLAY SPORTS IN HIGH SCHOOL?
DID YOU CONSIDER A CAREER IN CONSTRUCTION WHILE YOU WERE IN HIGH SCHOOL?
WHO INFLUENCED YOU? (TEACHERS, GUIDANCE COUNSELORS, FAMILY, FRIENDS, ETC.)
A Journey Man wireman influenced me when I was a summer helper, part-time.
WHY DID YOU ULTIMATELY CHOOSE A CAREER IN CONSTRUCTION?
I didn't think college was for me. I tried it for a year, but ultimately I realized I had a good opportunity presented in front of me to join the apprenticeship. I did and I haven't looked back.
WHAT WOULD YOU TELL YOUNG PEOPLE CONSIDERING POST-SECONDARY CAREER OPTIONS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? WHAT WOULD YOU TELL THEM TO CONVINCE THEM TO CONSIDER AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM?
Benefits, network of people you meet, free schooling. Get paid while you go through school. No College debt. Learn a lifelong skill you will never forget.
WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR CAREER PATH IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY?
Just that it's a good thing and learning a trade is beneficial in so many ways and that I am proud to be doing what I'm doing.
