Yes, I played football and basketball

 

DID YOU CONSIDER A CAREER IN CONSTRUCTION WHILE YOU WERE IN HIGH SCHOOL?

 

Yes, after my sophomore year, I stopped playing sports and got into trade school.

 

WHO INFLUENCED YOU? (TEACHERS, GUIDANCE COUNSELORS, FAMILY, FRIENDS, ETC.)

 

My guidance counselor encouraged me to look toward something more realistic after high school.

 

WHY DID YOU ULTIMATELY CHOOSE A CAREER IN CONSTRUCTION?

 

I loved working with my hands.  I love to see the fruits of my labor.  I feel more of a man so to speak.

 

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL YOUNG PEOPLE CONSIDERING POST-SECONDARY CAREER OPTIONS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL?  WHAT WOULD YOU TELL THEM TO CONVINCE THEM TO CONSIDER AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM?

 

Having a trade under your belt is something that nobody can take away.  It is cheaper.  It is fulfilling and the opportunities are limitless.

 

WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR CAREER PATH IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY?

 

I feel like I made one of the best decisions of my life, though I am not done, it's just the beginning.  I feel very confident and excited for the future.
