I did consider a career in construction while I was in high school.  

WHO INFLUENCED YOU? (TEACHERS, GUIDANCE COUNSELORS, FAMILY, FRIENDS, ETC.)

My mother, father and guidance couselors influenced me to start my career.

WHY DID YOU ULTIMATELY CHOOSE A CAREER IN CONSTRUCTION?

I knew after high school that was pretty much where your grown up life begins.  I wanted to start my career and kind of get a head start on the real world and have a great future as planned on my long-term goal list.

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL YOUNG PEOPLE CONSIDERING POST-SECONDARY CAREER OPTIONS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL?  WHAT WOULD YOU TELL THEM TO CONVINCE THEM TO CONSIDER AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM?

I would tell young people to take advantage of career opportunities while they can.  I would explain to them how I have a better outlook on my future since my career is helping me reach my long-term and short-term goals.

WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR CAREER PATH IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY?

My career path in the construction industry has matured me as a person.  I realize that there is more to life.  The apprenticeship enrolled me into college and after I finish my last class this spring, I will receive my associates degree in construction.
